Darren Drapkin has been using slackware since version 8.1 .
He had to boot it with a floppy disk because there was something wrong with the way the kernel was installed or the way the boot loader tried to launch it.
This did not stop him using it or,until recently, going on to the rolling download system that is slackware-current and slackpkg
He has been a regular computer user since the 1980’s and compares using linux at home to living in a geodesic dome – a choice of object oriented desktops, -no problem, but a midi player – no chance.
